Joy launched JSI Marketing to focus on qualitative research and Digital/Social Insights. Her rich client- side perspective is based upon experience with multi-national organizations – The Clorox Company and Mary Kay, Inc.
In addition, graduate training in International Relations with an emphasis on International Business (University of Texas – Dallas) with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies and Marketing Communications (University of Wisconsin – Madison) has helped her to regard global business problems and opportunities from a well-rounded perspective.
Experience and Expertise
Joy has Consumer Insights expertise with emphasis on Qualitative Research. Her scope of qualitative experience includes: user experience testing, ethnographic exploration, shop-a-longs, new product development, brand image and positioning, advertising testing, package design & graphics evaluation, market research on-line communities.
Experiences range from large qualitative, usability projects and agile research (i.e. 30 one-hour IDIs within 5 days, innovation sprints) along with multiple medium /smaller-scale qualitative and qualitative + quantitative projects supporting B2B and B2C clients across multiple categories ranging across CPG, Criminal Justice, Finance, Healthcare, Insurance, and Technology.
